Yes, your date of hire with the acquired company will be used in calculating your benefits service dates with Gallagher.
You are not able to make changes until the next annual enrollment period or within 31 days of a life event or qualified status change. To make any changes, you will need to contact HR Support at hrsupport@ajg.com. Annual enrollment is in November; benefits chosen at that time become effective on January 1 of the next year.
Gallagher has a discretionary match, which means it’s not promised, but note that Gallagher has paid it every year. When you save in the 401(k) plan, Gallagher matches your savings at 100%, up to the first 5% of earnings that you contribute to your account. Eligible new hires join from their first day of work, and vest in Gallagher’s contributions over 5 years. Legacy ROCers’ service counts toward vesting.
